Role: Visual Designer @ Design Insight
During my stint at Design Insight, I had the opportunity to re-design the website layout and content to include new projects, mascots and insights.
The DIcons
Eye, Hand, Heart
The founder wanted to introduce the Studio by sharing its three principles:
See what others don’t
Do what others won’t
Do the above two things with heart
I designed icons that represent the spirit of Design Insight, and animated them to add a dash of fun to the website. Keeping in mind the primary black and white colour palette, I used accent colours intentionally to show what makes Design Insight unique.
Impact
See What Others Don’t!
It was refreshing to see how backend editing looks like on Wordpress, and I better understood the importance of a responsive design as well as optimised SEO performance. Planning out the layout on Illustrator beforehand helped to save a lot of time - I used the learnings from this experience for my own portfolio website.
